Doug Walton and Chris Barrett

So here's a team that has been flying under the radar - practicing offsite, keeping a low profile and in serious training for the Calcutta.  Here's what both had to say

Chris having some Calcutta juice Barrett

Doug nice hat Walton

Chris Barrett

What is your greatest weakness?
Blondes or my overhead backhand (Chris don't let your wife Marion see this post - I'm pretty sure she's a blond and thinks she is one of your strengths)

What is the most memorable or favourite sporting event you ever attended?
Denny McLain’s 29th Victory at Tiger Stadium

Who is your favourite James Bond girl?
Rosa Klebb

What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
Good Health
What is the one team that you really want to beat in this year’s Calcutta?
Pozzo – I forgot you did not let him in – Nate (did not let me in his Consortium)

How do you think Byron broke his leg? In Bliss, cannot believe how lucky he was that he finally convinced Tammy to marry him so he did not see the step. (Who really does see the step ahead when ya get married)

How do you think your team will do in this year’s Calcutta?
Outstanding (That's what the farmer was - out standing in his field)

If the Calcutta was like Survivor, who would be first voted off the island and who would be your favourite to win based on their ability to out think, outwit and outlast the others?
Pozzo                   Norm G is my new favourite! (Chris - Ray wasn't really mad at you the time he screamed at you on the court - it was just a bit of gamesmanship)

Taylor Swift or Rihanna or Shania?
Shania

What is your favourite meal?
Gator Ted’s Wings  _ plug for our sponsor! (Gator style on the grill and of course including fries with gravy)

What do you want to be doing five years from now?
Fully use my throwing arm!

Doug Walton

What is your greatest weakness?
Near Frozen beer

What is the most memorable or favourite sporting event you ever attended?
April 1977 Scheduled Blue Jays Double Header at the EX with my Dad ... very cold  ... Luis Tiant on the mound for the Sox ... first game .... 13 years old (finally a guy who didn't claim he was at the last World Series game)

Who is your favourite James Bond girl?
Halle or Terri Hatcher in a pinch

Terri Hatcher as Paris Carver

What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
Staying out of the hospital (Doug and Chris are on the same page here)

What is the one team that you really want to beat in this year’s Calcutta?

Litton and Jury -- wipe the grins off their face)

How do you think Byron broke his leg?
On the football field right…we are talking about Leftwich right
It was also likely Leftwich's decision to come back onto the field, as he's had a long history of playing while injured. Who could forget the infamous broken leg game, where Leftwich led Marshall to a 17-point comeback against Akron back in 2002
But this was not the time nor place for him to continue his heroics, nor was it the time or place for Pittsburgh to ask him to do so. Third-string quarterback Charlie Batch should've gotten the opportunity to lead the Steelers in the fourth quarter, as the potential rib injury limited not only Leftwich's arm strength, but also his mobility down the stretch.
I can give credit to the guy for continuing to be as tough as nails as he was in college, but at times being stubborn can harm your team. It's a lesson that both Leftwich and the Steelers had to learn the hard way against Baltimore

( By the sounds of it, this was Doug's most memorable sporting event )

How do you think your team will do in this year’s Calcutta?
Bet on us

If the Calcutta was like Survivor, who would be first voted off the island and who would be your favourite to win based on their ability to outthink, outwit and outlast the others?
Gotta believe Ray P would be voted off first…..need the peace and quiet……Tommy N….outnick maybe ….not sure about outwitting……

Taylor Swift or Rihanna or Shania?
Shania
Doug even provide his own Shania picture
What's your favourite meal?
Bloody roast beef with all the fixings (hmmm!)

What do you want to be doing in five years?
Still squashing
